A SUPERB and VERY RARE Meissen figure of L'Avvocato modelled by J.J.Kandler, C.1740/5. Taken from the Italian Commedia D'Elle Arte. Also known as the Masquerader. I see the Kandler figures at various fine sales, but I have not seen this one for many many years.

CONDITION:- EXCELLENT for such an extremely vulnerable figure like this. His right hand and the object he is holding has been restored. The tips of his hat restored invisibly One flower at his right side restored. There are two tiny chips at the base restored.
